There is a country restaurant “Kupecheskiy dvor” in the suburbs of the capital, on the highway Stara Obukhovska.
The territory of the restaurant includes five houses-estates, each of them is dedicated to the famous Russian merchants, as well as two-storey building of the restaurant. Summer terrace is surrounded by the picturesque forests of Koncha-Zaspa.
Interior of the restaurant recreates the style and atmosphere of the noblemen's estates of the Silver Age: wooden trim, exquisite furniture, snow-white tablecloths, forged decor elements, patterned textiles.
Menu represents a wide selection of traditional Russian cuisine, recipes from pre-revolutionary collections. Visitors can order salts and smoke of its own production, homemade pasta, dishes from the Russian wood-burning stove, meat and fish, fried on grill.
Specialties of the house include:
- Pozharsky's cutlets,
- duck legs with crispy vegetables,
- spinach pike chops,
- Olivier salad recipe of 1886 with red caviar,
- draniks with sour cream,
- homemade sausage, baked with adjika,
- pumpkin cream soup with tar-tar of vegetables and shrimp,
- chebureks,
- quail dumplings,
- rough quails on grill,
- lamb shish-kebabs and cow's boars.
Salami with figs and cherries, grandmother`s nuts, lazy dumplings, homemade ice-cream, Kyivsky cake and Caramel Cake. Gypsy ensemble performs in the evenings. There is a children's playground.
