Description
There is a restaurant of national cuisine ""Hatynka"" in the very centre of the capital, on Velyka Vasilkivska opposite the palace ""Ukraina"". There are main hall for 70 people, VIP-hall for 15 guests, colourful halls ""Sadochok"" and “Hatynka"", as well as spacious summer terrace. Interior is decorated in traditional Ukrainian rural style and recreates the atmosphere of the ancient hut: carved furniture from natural wood, whitewashed walls, decorative windows with shutters, painted walls, pott...

Interior is decorated in traditional Ukrainian rural style and recreates the atmosphere of the ancient hut: carved furniture from natural wood, whitewashed walls, decorative windows with shutters, painted walls, pottery, embroideries and towels, as well as the main pride of the restaurant: real wood-burning oven, decorated with Petrikovski painting.

Menu offers a wide range of traditional Ukrainian dishes, made according to old family recipes.

Complex breakfasts are served in the mornings, and during the day guests can order business-lunches.

Guests can order a variety of cold and hot snacks, salads and first courses, vareniks and meat dishes, desserts.

Specialties of the house are:

  • borshch Ukrainian with pampushkas, meat and sour cream, which is served in bread,
  • meat saltwort,
  • mix salads with salmon and red caviar under sesame sauce,
  • stuffed carp,
  • vareniks with a potato,
  • banosh with cheese,
  • deruns with cracklings,
  • pike-perch fried in a horseradish sauce,
  • medallions of veal with cherry sauce,
  • pork ribs with stewed cabbage and prunes.

Special desserts are cheese pie with cinnamon jam, buns with poppy seeds and raisins, syrnyks with sour cream and jam.

The alcohol list includes an assortment of home-made infusions, strong alcohol, beer and European wines.

Live music sounds in the restaurant in the evenings.
