"Kartata Potata" is a restaurant, that combines a cafe-grocery and culinary studio. It is located in the heart of the capital, on Pushkinska street in a building, where in the Soviet times grocery store was situated.
Original interior combines vintage and modern styles. The halls are designed in light pastel palette, brick walls, national embroidery and tapestries, pads of Hutsul carpets and English floral wallpaper, linen tablecloths and rare furniture, made of light wood. AThere are two halls, one of which is duplex.
The feature of the restaurant is a grocery store, where visitors can buy various farm products, cheeses, pasta, salt, milk and fresh pastries. Waiting area is made in the store for convenience of guests. It is equipped with wine holders and laptop sockets. Visitors can wait for ordered meals and products with a glass of wine.
Menu represents author's dishes of Ukrainian, European and Soviet cookery.
Specialties of the house are:
- pasta in the Navy with egg poached,
- salad with vegetables from josper,
- salad "Nisuaz",
- granola with yoghurt,
- spinach soup with egg poached,
- Greek moussaka,
- vegetable soup,
- varenyky with root vegetables, duck and apples,
- varenyky on a carrot dough with chicken and corn.
Guests can order business-lunches in churracco-bar format on weekdays. Special dessert is cottage cheese casserole with apple jam and homemade marshmallows. Every day menu offers a dish of the day.
The restaurant bakes homemade bread and croissants. There are three kinds of cocoa. In addition, guests can order homemade teas with home-made syrups: with berry, ginger and pomegranate and sea-buckthorn. Popular European wines, which can be tasted by glass, are offered.
