Restaurant "Vatra" is located in the heart of Kyiv, next to the metro station "Khreshchatyk". It is a steak-house. There are spacious main hall with stage and musical equipment for performing popular bands, as well as dining room for 12 people for a meal.

Summer terrace with a fountain is open during warm season. Interior harmoniously combines modern classics and colourful elements of Hutsul kolyba: massive wood, metal, natural leather and animal skins.

Menu contains a wide selection of meat dishes, cooked according to the author's recipes. The restaurant has its own smokehouse and special chambers for dry ripening of meat. It uses several technologies for cooking meat and serves it smoked, boiled, dried, fried and stewed.

Specialties of the house are:

  • steak Vatra in the form of tartare from the loin,
  • smoked duck breast with apple confiture,
  • fried beef tongue in apple glaze with hazelnut,
  • dumplings with bovine tails,
  • cane of mutton kidneys,
  • steak from diaphragm,
  • stewed pork shank with vegetables and hutsul cheese,
  • banosh,
  • salad with smoked catfish,
  • eel, stewed with nuts and paprika.

The emphasis in the menu is made on meat specialties and sausages of its own production. All meat dishes are cooked according to original recipes with the addition of mountain herbs and natural spices. In addition, the restaurant focuses on regional cheeses. Specialist works in the hall, he can held tastings and help in the formation of individual cheese set.

Alcoholic menu consists of top Ukrainian wines and an assortment of Tokaj wines. Live music in the style of jazz and blues sounds from Thursday to Saturday.
